The problem with cheap jewellery
Most affordable piercing jewellery contains nickel — the most common cause of skin reactions. On a fresh piercing, which stays an open wound for months, that's exactly the wrong thing. Too many people think they have “difficult skin” when they were simply wearing the wrong metal.
Our answer: material first
We built Aurea around the material, not the marketing. Our jewellery is implant-grade titanium (ASTM F136, G23) — nickel-free, biocompatible, the same grade used for surgical implants. It's the safest choice for a fresh piercing and for reactive skin alike.
For gold, we're honest about what you're buying: a PVD gold finish over a G23 titanium base. You get the warm colour and the hypoallergenic core, with no pretending it's solid gold and no cheap metal hidden underneath. See choosing a material.
