Nose Piercing

Nostril rings and studs — the most-worn facial piercing, in nickel-free metal.

Nose piercing jewellery: rings, studs and bones for the nostril, in a material that respects a healing piercing. Titanium for safety on a fresh nostril, gold to elevate once healed. Subtle or statement, pick the nose jewellery that fits your face and your mood. See how a stud and a ring compare, or add a septum or labret piece.

Nose rings and nose studs: the two looks

A nose (nostril) piercing is the most popular facial piercing, and it comes in two main styles:

  • Nose stud — a small gem or ball facing out, held by an L-bend, a screw or a flat back inside the nostril. Subtle and office-friendly.
  • Nose ring / hoop — a ring that wraps the nostril, from a fine huggie to a bolder hoop. The statement look.

Many people own both and switch depending on the day. A double nostril stacks two on the same side.

Nostril jewellery: hoops, studs and L-shapes

  • L-shape & screw studs — bend to hold the stud securely without slipping.
  • Seamless rings & huggies — continuous hoops that sit snug on the nostril.
  • Flat-back labrets — the most secure and comfortable for sleeping, nothing to catch inside the nose.

A fresh nostril is usually 18G or 20G. See the types of piercing jewellery.

Titanium or gold for a nose piercing

The nose is sensitive skin that reacts easily, so a hypoallergenic metal matters.

  • Implant-grade titanium (G23) — nickel-free and hypoallergenic, the safest choice for a new or reactive nostril.
  • Gold finish — warm gold PVD over titanium for a healed nose, still nickel-free. Our stones are crystal and cubic zirconia, not diamond.

Healing a nose piercing

A nostril heals in about 2 to 4 months. A small bump beside the hole is common in the early weeks and usually comes from a knock, an early change or a non-ideal metal, not infection. Clean twice a day with sterile saline, do not twist it, and keep the first jewellery in until settled. Full routine in our aftercare guide.

Does a nose piercing hurt?

It is a quick, sharp sting and your eyes may water for a second — most people rate it 3 to 4 out of 10. It is a popular, low-commitment first piercing for men and women, and a clear retainer lets you hide it whenever you need to.

How long does a nose piercing take to heal?
A nostril usually heals in 2 to 4 months. Keep the first jewellery in, clean it twice a day with saline, and avoid changing it early — most nose bumps come from an early change or a knock.
Which is better, a nose ring or a nose stud?
Neither — it is about the look and the stage of healing. A flat-back stud is the most comfortable for a fresh piercing and for sleeping; a hoop is bolder and best added once healed. Many people keep both and swap.
Are your nose studs hypoallergenic?
Yes. Our nose jewellery is implant-grade G23 titanium, which is nickel-free and hypoallergenic — the metal recommended for sensitive skin and fresh piercings. The gold pieces are a PVD gold finish over the same titanium base.
