Description

The gold belly button ring gives the navel classic a warm glow: a smooth curved barbell ("banana") with a prong-set crystal at the top and a larger round cubic zirconia solitaire at the bottom, finished in a rich gold tone over a hypoallergenic titanium core. Prefer a silver tone? See the titanium belly button ring.

This is a PVD gold finish over G23 titanium: the warm colour with a nickel-free core, without the price of solid gold — and without the cheap plated brass that wears and can expose nickel. We never call it solid gold. More in our guide to choosing a material.

Double crystal, prong-set

Both stones are prong-set cubic zirconia held on fine claws, so light gets under the stone and it reads bright and clean — a small crystal above the navel, a round solitaire below.

Choosing your gauge and size

This belly button ring is 14G (1.6 mm), the standard navel gauge, with a curved bar in 6, 8, 10 or 12 mm and two gem sets (4 + 6 mm or 5 + 8 mm). 10 mm fits most navels; pick shorter for a shallow navel, longer for a deeper one. Match the gauge your piercer set — our gauge and size guide explains it simply.

Frequently asked questions about the gold belly button ring

  • Is it solid gold? No — it's a PVD gold finish over nickel-free G23 titanium. Warm colour, hypoallergenic core, without plated brass that wears off. Best on a settled navel.
  • Which bar length? 14G, 10 mm suits most navels; 6-8 mm for a shallow one, 12 mm for a deeper navel or swelling while healing.
  • How long does a navel take to heal? Often several months — keep the initial bar in and follow a simple saline routine.

Warm gold tone, honest titanium core.

You get a warm gold navel bar without the trade-off: a PVD gold finish over implant-grade ASTM F136 titanium (G23), nickel-free underneath — never the cheap plated brass that wears and can expose nickel. Best worn once your navel has settled.

Putting in your flat back

Three moves and it's in. The top screws on at the front — the flat disc stays put behind.

1

Disc behind

Place the flat disc behind the piercing, flat against the skin.

2

Post through

Guide the post through the hole, to the front.

3

Screw the top

Screw the top onto the post from the front (internal thread). Snug, not forced.

Once in, it doesn't spin or snag — you can sleep in it. On a fresh piercing, have your piercer fit it.

Is this gold belly button ring solid gold?
No. It's a PVD gold finish bonded over nickel-free G23 titanium. You get the warm gold colour and a hypoallergenic core, without the price of solid gold and without plated brass that wears off.
How do I choose the bar length?
A navel bar is 14G (1.6 mm). 10 mm is the most common length; 6-8 mm suits a shallow navel and 12 mm a deeper one. Match what your piercer fitted.
Can I wear it on a fresh piercing?
It's best on a settled or healed navel. Heal a new one in plain titanium first, then switch to the gold finish.
