Description
The gold nose stud brings a warm glow to the nostril, with a slim curved post that follows the inside of the nose and a decorative top at the front. A gold-finish nose stud that looks like fine gold and stays kind to the skin, in a plain ball, a flat disc or a clear crystal. For a fresh piercing, start in plain titanium.
It's a PVD gold finish over an ASTM F136 titanium (grade 23) core — the warm colour of gold with a nickel-free, hypoallergenic base. Not solid gold, and never cheap plated brass that wears thin and can expose nickel. See how it compares with solid gold and plated steel.
Where a nose ring can move and snag, the curved screw post sits flush: it doesn't spin out, doesn't catch on a towel, and stays neatly in place under make-up or on the pillow.
Four tops, one nose stud
The same curved post comes with four fronts, so you can match your look without changing the piercing's fit:
Prong-set crystal — a little sparkle raised on fine claws.
Polished ball — the clean, classic nostril dot.
Flat disc — minimal and flush to the skin.
Bezel-set crystal — a clear crystal held low in a smooth rim.
This nose stud is 0.8 mm (20G), the standard nostril gauge, with a 7 mm curved post and a 2 mm top. Keep to the gauge your piercer set. Not sure of your size? Our gauge and size guide explains it simply.

Fit guide
Find your size
Tap your piercing — we'll give you the size.
Helix
16G·6–8 mm
The most common — 6 mm when healed, 8 mm if fresh.
Fresh piercing ? Pick the longer option — room to swell.
16G = 1.2 mm, the standard for helix, tragus, conch and lip. Keep your piercing's gauge — never force a thicker bar.
The distance between the flat disc and the top. Too short pinches, too long snags. 6 mm healed, 8 mm fresh/thicker, 10 mm for conch or lip.
The diameter of the ball or crystal on top — purely the look. 2 mm = subtle everyday dot, 4 mm = bolder.
Already have a flat back ? Measure its post, from the inside of the disc to the base of the top — that's your length. Unsure ? Your piercer can tell you in seconds.
Every Aurea labret is internally threaded, 16G — guidance is indicative.
Gold warmth, titanium comfort.
This nose stud is a PVD gold finish bonded onto a G23 titanium core: you get the warm gold colour and a nickel-free, hypoallergenic base — without the price of solid gold and without the cheap plated brass that wears and can expose nickel. We never call it solid gold. A beautiful everyday choice for a healed nostril.
Three moves and it's in. The top screws on at the front — the flat disc stays put behind.
1
Disc behind
Place the flat disc behind the piercing, flat against the skin.
2
Post through
Guide the post through the hole, to the front.
3
Screw the top
Screw the top onto the post from the front (internal thread). Snug, not forced.
Once in, it doesn't spin or snag — you can sleep in it. On a fresh piercing, have your piercer fit it.
Is this solid gold?
No, and we're clear about it: it's a PVD gold finish over a G23 titanium core. You get the warm gold colour and the hypoallergenic titanium base, without it being solid gold or cheap gold-plated brass.
Can I wear the gold nose stud on a fresh piercing?
It's best on a fully healed nostril. For a brand-new piercing, start in plain implant-grade titanium, then switch to the gold finish once it has settled.
How do I keep the gold finish bright?
Wipe it with a soft cloth, avoid harsh chemicals, perfume and chlorine, and store it dry. The PVD finish is durable but gentler care keeps it looking its best.
