Description

The titanium belly button ring is the classic you picture for a navel: a smooth curved barbell (a "banana") with a prong-set crystal at the top and a larger round cubic zirconia solitaire at the bottom — the stone that catches the light below the navel. Machined in implant-grade titanium, it is safe against the skin from the first weeks.

It is machined from ASTM F136 titanium (grade 23) — nickel-free and cobalt-free, light and corrosion-resistant, the material piercers recommend for a fresh piercing and for sensitive skin. Prefer gold? See the gold belly button ring.

Double crystal, prong-set

Both stones are prong-set cubic zirconia held on fine claws, so light gets under the stone and it reads bright and clean — a small crystal above the navel, a round solitaire below.

Choosing your gauge and size

This belly button ring is 14G (1.6 mm), the standard navel gauge, with a curved bar in 6, 8, 10 or 12 mm and two gem sets (4 + 6 mm or 5 + 8 mm). 10 mm fits most navels; pick shorter for a shallow navel, longer for a deeper one. Match the gauge your piercer set — our gauge and size guide explains it simply.

Frequently asked questions about the titanium belly button ring

  • Is it safe on a fresh navel? Yes — implant-grade ASTM F136 titanium is nickel-free and biocompatible, the recommended choice for a new or sensitive navel piercing.
  • Which bar length? 14G, 10 mm suits most navels; 6-8 mm for a shallow one, 12 mm for a deeper navel or swelling while healing.
  • How long does a navel take to heal? Often several months — keep the initial bar in and follow a simple saline routine.

Safe metal for a long-healing navel.

A navel is one of the slowest piercings to heal, so the metal matters. This bar is implant-grade ASTM F136 titanium (G23): nickel-free, cobalt-free and hypoallergenic — the material piercers trust for a fresh or reactive navel, polished so it stays clean day to day.

Putting in your flat back

Three moves and it's in. The top screws on at the front — the flat disc stays put behind.

1

Disc behind

Place the flat disc behind the piercing, flat against the skin.

2

Post through

Guide the post through the hole, to the front.

3

Screw the top

Screw the top onto the post from the front (internal thread). Snug, not forced.

Once in, it doesn't spin or snag — you can sleep in it. On a fresh piercing, have your piercer fit it.

Is a titanium belly button ring good for a fresh piercing?
Yes. Implant-grade ASTM F136 titanium is nickel-free and biocompatible, a safe choice for a new or sensitive navel. Have the initial jewellery fitted by your piercer and follow a saline routine.
How do I choose the bar length?
A navel bar is 14G (1.6 mm). 10 mm is the most common length; 6-8 mm suits a shallow navel and 12 mm a deeper one or swelling while healing. Match what your piercer fitted.
What are the two crystal sizes?
Two gem sets: a 4 mm top with a 6 mm bottom (discreet), or a 5 mm top with an 8 mm bottom (bolder). Both are prong-set cubic zirconia.
