Description
The titanium nose ring is the hoop that does everything: a hinged segment ring that clicks shut into a smooth, seamless circle, in implant-grade titanium that's safe against the skin. Worn in the nostril as a classic nose hoop, it works just as well in a septum, daith or helix — one ring, many piercings, in a plain band or a crystal-pavé finish. Prefer a fixed stud? See the nose stud.
It is machined from ASTM F136 titanium (grade 23) — nickel-free and cobalt-free, light and corrosion-resistant. The material piercers recommend for a fresh piercing and for sensitive skin, with a polished finish that keeps its shine. Prefer gold? See the gold nose ring.
The hinge is what sets it apart from an old-style seamless ring: no bending the metal open and closed, no dropped captive bead. It swings open, slides through and snaps locked — easy to put in yourself, and secure once it's shut.
Why a hinged segment ring
A hinged segment ring (also called a clicker) joins the comfort of a continuous hoop with a closure you can actually use. Once shut, the join is nearly invisible, so the ring reads as one clean circle against the skin — no gap, no protruding ball — while the hinge takes the fight out of changing your jewellery.

Choosing your gauge and diameter
This ring comes in two gauges — 18G (1.0 mm) and 16G (1.2 mm) — and four inner diameters: 6, 8, 10 and 12 mm. For a nostril, 18G with a 6–8 mm diameter is the usual fit; a septum, daith or helix often takes 16G and 8–10 mm. Always match the gauge your piercer set — forcing a thicker ring hurts the piercing. Unsure? Our gauge and size guide explains it simply.
Frequently asked questions about the titanium nose ring
Is it safe on a fresh piercing? Yes — implant-grade ASTM F136 titanium is nickel-free and biocompatible, the recommended choice for a new or sensitive piercing.
How does the hinge work? One side swings open on a tiny hinge, you pass it through the piercing, then press it shut until it clicks locked. No tools, no separate parts.
Can I wear it anywhere other than the nose? Yes — the same ring suits a septum, daith, helix or lip. Just pick the gauge and diameter that match that piercing.

The hoop that clicks shut — and stays kind to your skin.
A nose, septum or cartilage piercing heals slowly, so the metal matters more than anything. This hinged segment ring is implant-grade ASTM F136 titanium (G23): nickel-free, cobalt-free and hypoallergenic — the material piercers trust — while the hinge lets you open and close it cleanly, without bending the metal or losing a captive bead.
Three moves and it's in. The top screws on at the front — the flat disc stays put behind.
1
Disc behind
Place the flat disc behind the piercing, flat against the skin.
2
Post through
Guide the post through the hole, to the front.
3
Screw the top
Screw the top onto the post from the front (internal thread). Snug, not forced.
Once in, it doesn't spin or snag — you can sleep in it. On a fresh piercing, have your piercer fit it.
Is a titanium nose ring good for a fresh piercing?
Yes. Implant-grade ASTM F136 titanium is nickel-free and biocompatible, which makes it a safe choice for a new or sensitive piercing. Have the initial jewellery fitted by your piercer, then follow a simple saline routine.
How does a hinged segment ring open?
One side swings open on a small hinge. You pass the open end through the piercing, then press it closed until it clicks locked — no tools and no separate bead to drop.
Which gauge and diameter should I choose?
18G (1.0 mm) with a 6–8 mm diameter is the usual nostril fit; 16G (1.2 mm) and 8–10 mm suit a septum, daith or helix. Match the gauge your piercer used.
