Description

The titanium nose stud is the quiet essential of a nostril piercing: a slim curved post that follows the inside of the nose, a decorative top at the front, and an implant-grade titanium body that's safe from the very first day. A nose stud that looks discreet and stays comfortable, in a plain ball, a flat disc or a clear crystal.

It is machined from ASTM F136 titanium (grade 23) — nickel-free and cobalt-free, light and corrosion-resistant. The material piercers recommend for a fresh piercing and for sensitive skin, with a polished finish that keeps its shine. Prefer gold? The same stud comes in a gold PVD finish.

Where a nose ring can move and snag, the curved screw post sits flush: it doesn't spin out, doesn't catch on a towel, and stays neatly in place under make-up or on the pillow.

Four tops, one nose stud

The same curved post comes with four fronts, so you can match your look without changing the piercing's fit:

  • Prong-set crystal — a little sparkle raised on fine claws.
  • Polished ball — the clean, classic nostril dot.
  • Flat disc — minimal and flush to the skin.
  • Bezel-set crystal — a clear crystal held low in a smooth rim.

Screw stud, L-shape or nose ring: which to choose

Want a hoop instead of a stud? Compare it with the nose ring, or read our guide to types of jewellery.

Choosing your gauge and length

This nose stud is 0.8 mm (20G), the standard nostril gauge, with a 7 mm curved post and a 2 mm top. Keep to the gauge your piercer set — forcing a thicker post hurts the piercing. Not sure of your size? Our gauge and size guide explains it simply.

Frequently asked questions about the titanium nose stud

  • Is it safe on a fresh piercing? Yes — implant-grade ASTM F136 titanium is nickel-free and biocompatible, the recommended choice for a new or sensitive nostril.
  • How does the screw post work? It follows the inside of the nostril so the stud sits flush and stays in without a separate back.
  • What size is it? 20G (0.8 mm), 7 mm post, 2 mm top — standard nostril sizing.

Made for sensitive noses.

A nostril is a small, slow-healing piercing, so the metal matters more than anything. This nose stud is implant-grade ASTM F136 titanium (G23): nickel-free, cobalt-free and hypoallergenic — the material piercers trust for a fresh or reactive nostril, with a polished finish that stays clean day to day.

Putting in your flat back

Three moves and it's in. The top screws on at the front — the flat disc stays put behind.

1

Disc behind

Place the flat disc behind the piercing, flat against the skin.

2

Post through

Guide the post through the hole, to the front.

3

Screw the top

Screw the top onto the post from the front (internal thread). Snug, not forced.

Once in, it doesn't spin or snag — you can sleep in it. On a fresh piercing, have your piercer fit it.

Is a titanium nose stud good for a fresh piercing?
Yes. Implant-grade ASTM F136 titanium is nickel-free and biocompatible, which makes it the safest choice for a new or sensitive nostril. Have the initial jewellery fitted by your piercer, then follow a simple saline routine.
How does the curved screw post work?
The gently curved "screw" post is threaded through the piercing following the inside of the nostril, so the stud sits flush against the skin and stays put through the day without a separate back.
What gauge is this nose stud?
20G (0.8 mm), the standard nostril gauge, with a 7 mm post and a 2 mm top. Match the gauge your piercer used; if unsure, measure your current jewellery.
