Eyebrow Piercing
A curved eyebrow barbell in nickel-free titanium — a clean line for your brow.
Eyebrow piercing jewelry in implant-grade titanium: curved 16G barbells with balls, spikes or a zircon butterfly. Titanium to heal, a gold finish once your brow has settled.
What is an eyebrow piercing?
An eyebrow piercing passes vertically through the edge of the brow, most often towards the outer end, above the eye. It is a surface piercing: the two holes sit close together on the same plane of skin, which is why it is worn with a curved barbell rather than a straight bar. It is always done by a professional piercer, who checks the placement and fits your first jewelry.
Eyebrow piercing jewelry: which style?
- Ball barbell — a curved 16G bar with two small balls, the discreet everyday classic.
- Spike barbell — the same curve with pointed ends, for a sharper look.
- Zircon butterfly — a butterfly set with zircon at one end, for a touch of sparkle.
Lengths run from 6 to 10 mm; our gauge and size guide helps you choose.
Titanium or gold for your eyebrow
- Implant-grade titanium (ASTM F136, G23) — nickel-free and hypoallergenic, the right metal for a fresh brow.
- Gold finish — gold PVD over titanium, like our gold eyebrow barbell, for a healed piercing.

Healing and rejection: what to expect
An eyebrow takes about 6 to 8 weeks on average to heal, but every body is different and it can take longer. Clean it twice a day with sterile saline, keep makeup, creams and hair products off it, and take care not to snag it on towels or tops. As a surface piercing, it can migrate or reject: if the bar looks more visible or the skin thins over it, see your piercer. More in our aftercare guide and our guide to piercing rejection.
Does an eyebrow piercing hurt?
Most people describe a quick, sharp pinch, followed by some tenderness and swelling for a few days. Pain is personal, and a calm, experienced piercer makes a real difference. To compare with other placements, see which piercings hurt the most.
