Description

The titanium marquise hoop is a fine hinged ring with a single sparkle: one small marquise-cut crystal set at the front-bottom of a plain polished band. Made for a healed nose piercing, it also suits the helix piercing and other cartilage spots — a dainty nose hoop that adds light without adding bulk.

It is machined from implant-grade ASTM F136 titanium (G23), nickel-free and kind to sensitive skin — the metal piercers trust for nostrils and cartilage, where skin can stay reactive long after healing. The polished silver tone keeps the look quiet and clean. Prefer a warmer glow? See the gold marquise hoop.

The hinged segment swings open, slides through the piercing and clicks shut — no bending the metal, no loose bead to lose. Once closed, the join melts into the band and the stone sits right where the eye lands. Want the same easy ring with no stone at all? Our titanium nose ring is the plain version.

Nostril or cartilage: where it shines

In the nostril, the marquise follows the curve of the nose for a delicate, almost-there sparkle. On the ear, it becomes a cartilage hoop for the helix, or a quiet accent next to your studs in a curated ear. The single stone keeps it minimal, so it pairs easily with what you already wear.

Choosing your diameter

The ring is 16G (1.2 mm) thick and comes in three inner diameters: 8, 10 and 12 mm. 8 mm hugs a nostril snugly; 10 mm suits most helix piercings or a looser fit in the nose; 12 mm leaves more room for a lower helix or other cartilage. Always match the gauge your piercer set — our gauge and size guide helps you measure.

Frequently asked questions about the titanium marquise hoop

  • Can I wear it in a fresh piercing? No — nostrils and cartilage are first pierced with jewellery chosen by your piercer. Switch to this hoop once your piercer confirms the piercing has healed.
  • What is the stone? A clear 5A cubic zirconia in a marquise cut: an elongated shape with pointed ends that gives a crisp, clean sparkle.
  • Where does the stone sit? At the front-bottom of the ring, so it shows when the hoop is worn. The rest of the band stays plain and polished.

One small sparkle, kind to sensitive skin.

Nostrils and cartilage stay sensitive, so the metal matters. This hoop is implant-grade ASTM F136 titanium (G23): nickel-free and hypoallergenic, the material piercers trust. A single marquise stone adds just enough light, and the hinge clicks shut without bending the ring.

Putting in your clicker hoop

No tiny parts to lose: the hoop opens on a hinge and closes with a click.

1

Open the hinge

Hold the hoop and gently swing the hinged segment open. Never twist or pull the ring apart.

2

Thread it through

Slide the open end through the piercing, following the angle of the hole.

3

Click it shut

Press the segment back until you hear and feel the click. Give it a light tug to check.

Open and close it over a towel or a closed sink. On a fresh piercing, have your piercer fit it.

Which diameter should I choose for my nose?
8 mm sits close to the nostril for a snug look. Choose 10 mm if you prefer a looser hoop that sits a little further from the nose.
Is titanium suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. ASTM F136 titanium is nickel-free and biocompatible, which is why piercers recommend it for sensitive skin, nostrils and cartilage.
Can I wear it in my helix?
Yes, once your helix has healed. 10 mm fits most helix piercings, and 12 mm gives more room lower on the ear. Check that your piercing takes 16G (1.2 mm).
How do I put in a hinged hoop?
Wash your hands, swing the segment open, pass it through the piercing and press it closed until it clicks. No tools needed.
Which way should the stone face?
Wear the stone at the front-bottom of the ring, facing outwards, so the marquise shows along the curve of your nose or ear.
