Description

This gold flower cartilage earring brings a warm little bloom to your ear: four round clear crystals around a small gold-tone centre, about 3.7 mm across. As a flower helix stud it adds a soft spark of light to the upper ear, and it is just as lovely as a tragus stud or in a conch, flat or lobe — browse all our helix piercing jewellery.

The gold is a gold PVD finish on ASTM F136 titanium (G23): the warmth of gold over an implant-grade, nickel-free core rather than plated brass. The yellow-gold tone sets off the clear crystals, so the flower glows rather than just glitters. It is made to shine on a healed piercing; for a first piercing or very sensitive skin, the titanium flower stud is the more understated choice.

Behind the bloom is a flat back earring in labret style: the flat disc lies flush against the back of the ear, so nothing catches on your hair or pillow. The flower top screws into the post from the front (internally threaded) for a clean, secure hold.

How to style a gold flower stud

A small flower makes a sweet accent in a curated ear: wear it high in the helix above a hoop, pair it with plain studs in the lobe, or mirror it on both ears. Gold and crystal mix easily with silver tones too. For a plainer accent on the same flat back post, see our labret with a ball or crystal top, and find layout ideas in how to build a curated ear.

Choosing your post length

The post is 16G (1.2 mm) thick, in three lengths: 6, 8 and 10 mm. 6 mm sits snug on a healed helix or tragus, 8 mm is the most common fit, and 10 mm suits thicker cartilage. Always match the gauge of the jewellery your piercer fitted. Prefer another shape on the same flat back? See our heart stud or the triple star stud.

Frequently asked questions about the gold flower stud

  • What is the gold finish? It is a gold PVD finish bonded to implant-grade ASTM F136 titanium G23: the warmth of gold with a nickel-free titanium base.
  • Can I wear it on a fresh piercing? It is best on a healed piercing. Your first jewellery is fitted by your piercer; once healed, swap in the gold flower.
  • Are the stones crystals? Yes — four round clear cubic zirconia (CZ), set as petals around the gold-tone centre.

A golden bloom for your healed cartilage.

This stud pairs the warmth of a gold PVD finish with an implant-grade ASTM F136 titanium core, nickel-free and skin-friendly. Its four clear crystal petals catch the light against the gold, and the flat back keeps it comfortable all day — the natural upgrade once your piercing has healed.

Putting in your flat back

Three moves and it's in. The top screws on at the front — the flat disc stays put behind.

1

Disc behind

Place the flat disc behind the piercing, flat against the skin.

2

Post through

Guide the post through the hole, to the front.

3

Screw the top

Screw the top onto the post from the front (internal thread). Snug, not forced.

Once in, it doesn't spin or snag — you can sleep in it. On a fresh piercing, have your piercer fit it.

Is the gold finish suitable for sensitive skin?
The gold PVD finish covers an ASTM F136 titanium core that is nickel-free, so the stud stays skin-friendly.
Which post length should I choose?
8 mm fits most helix and tragus piercings. Pick 6 mm for a snug look on a healed piercing, or 10 mm for thicker cartilage.
Can I mix it with silver jewellery?
Yes — the clear crystals bridge both tones, so the gold flower sits happily next to titanium or silver-tone pieces.
How do I keep the gold bright?
Clean it gently with saline or mild soapy water and pat dry. Avoid abrasive cloths, perfume and harsh products on the finish.
  1. Soft and bright

The gold around the crystals gives a warmer light than the silver version. It doesn't just sparkle, it really lights up the ear. I put it in my helix and I never take it out.

Thank you so much, that's exactly the effect of gold with clear crystals. So glad you love it this much!

  2. It makes a great pair with the silver version on my other ear.

  4. My first titanium piece

I only ever bought silver until now and always ended up with a little cartilage infection. Since switching to titanium with this gold flower, my helix is doing really well. I'm not going back.
