The gold ear climber brings a warm sparkle to the top of your ear: three marquise-cut clear crystals arranged like a little leafy sprig, climbing diagonally from the piercing on a polished gold setting. It is the piece that makes a stack look finished — at home on a helix, forward helix, conch, tragus or lobe. Browse every ear piercing style to build around it.
The gold is a gold PVD finish on ASTM F136 titanium (G23): a thin, hard layer bonded to implant-grade, nickel-free titanium, never plated brass. You get the glow of gold on a metal that stays gentle on healed skin, with a finish made for everyday wear. Prefer a cooler, more minimal look? See the titanium marquise climber.
As a marquise cartilage stud, it rests on a flat back that lies smoothly behind the ear, with an internally threaded top that screws snugly into the post. Want a softer accent beside it? The flower stud makes an easy companion.
Right or Left: getting the side right
This helix climber is designed to grow upwards: its leaves climb on a slant towards the top of your ear. So that they climb on your side, it comes in a Right and a Left version. Just pick the ear you will wear it in — that is all there is to it.
-
Right: for the right ear — the cluster climbs upwards, following the curve of that ear.
-
Left: for the left ear — a mirror image, so the leaves climb upwards there too.
-
One on each ear? Choose one Right and one Left for a matching, symmetrical pair.
Post length and styling
It is 16G (1.2 mm), with posts of 6, 8 or 10 mm: 6 mm for a close fit on a helix or tragus, 8 mm for most piercings, 10 mm for a deep conch or a fuller lobe. Let it lead an upper-ear stack or shine on its own; our curated ear guide shows where to place it.
Frequently asked questions about the gold ear climber
-
Is it for a healed piercing? Yes, it is at its best on a healed piercing. Gold PVD titanium is nickel-free, but the first jewellery in a brand-new piercing should be fitted by your piercer.
-
Will the gold finish fade? PVD bonds the gold tone to the titanium as a hard, durable layer. Keep it away from harsh chemicals and abrasive cloths and it keeps its glow.
-
What are the crystals? Three marquise-cut clear cubic zirconia (CZ), set as a cluster stud for a bright sparkle against the gold.
