This ear climber draws a fine line of light up your ear: three marquise-cut clear crystals set in a leaf-shaped cluster that climbs diagonally from the piercing, like a small sprig growing along the cartilage. It sits on a flat back stud, so you get the climber look in one comfortable piece — made for the helix piercing, and just as pretty in a forward helix, conch, tragus or lobe.
It is machined from ASTM F136 titanium (G23), the implant-grade, nickel-free metal piercers choose for cartilage, which heals slowly and reacts quickly to cheap alloys. The polished silver tone keeps the look clean and understated and lets the crystals do the talking. Prefer a warmer glow? See the gold marquise climber.
Underneath, it is a true marquise cartilage stud: a flat disc rests smoothly against the back of the ear and the top screws in with internal threading, so the thread stays inside the post and nothing rough passes through the piercing. Building a quiet stack? Pair it with the titanium flower stud.
Left or Right: which side to choose
The leaves don't point straight up — they climb at a slant, towards the top of your ear. That is why this helix climber comes in two mirror-image versions. The rule is simple: choose the side of the ear you will wear it in. On the wrong ear, it would lean the wrong way instead of following the curve.
-
Right: for your right ear — the leaves climb upwards along the curve of that ear.
-
Left: for your left ear — the same design, mirrored, so it climbs the right way on that side.
-
One on each ear? Order one Right and one Left: they mirror each other for a symmetrical look.
Choosing your post length
The stud is 16G (1.2 mm) and comes in three post lengths: 6, 8 and 10 mm. 6 mm gives a close fit on thin cartilage like a helix, forward helix or tragus; 8 mm is the most versatile; 10 mm suits thicker tissue such as a deep conch or a fuller lobe. Always go with the length your piercer measured. Unsure? Our gauge and size guide explains it simply.
Frequently asked questions about the titanium ear climber
-
Can I wear it in a fresh piercing? Flat back studs are what piercers use for cartilage, and nickel-free titanium is a safe match. For a brand-new piercing, let your piercer fit the first jewellery and pick the length.
-
What are the stones? Three marquise-cut clear cubic zirconia (CZ) crystals, set as a cluster stud that catches the light from every angle.
-
Does the Left/Right rule apply to a conch or tragus? Yes — whatever the placement, pick the version that matches the ear: Right for the right ear, Left for the left.
