Description

Our spike eyebrow ring trades soft round balls for two pointed 3 mm cones: a slim spike curved barbell that follows the line of the brow and ends in a sharp, graphic point on each side. It's the bolder, edgier take on eyebrow piercing jewelry — the same discreet curve as our titanium eyebrow barbell, with an attitude the round version doesn't have.

It is made from ASTM F136 implant-grade titanium (G23): nickel-free, light and corrosion-resistant, in a polished silver tone. Cool, raw-looking metal suits the clean geometry of the spikes, and it's the material piercers trust on sensitive skin. Want the same points with a warm glow? See the gold spike eyebrow ring.

The bar is 16G (1.2 mm) and the spikes are externally threaded: each cone screws onto a thread cut at the end of the bar. Because that thread slides through the channel when you put the bar in, this piece is meant for a healed piercing — your very first jewellery is fitted by your piercer. Once healed, it also suits a rook or a snug. See every style in our eyebrow piercing collection.

Which length for a spike bar

Length is measured along the bar, between the two spikes. 6 mm keeps the points close to the skin on a shallow piercing for a tight, sculpted look. 8 mm is the usual healed fit. 10 mm suits a deeper placement or a rook. Spikes stand out more than balls, so a close fit looks sharpest — but if the cones press into the skin, go one size up. Our gauge and size guide shows how to measure.

Spike eyebrow ring: quick answers

  • Are the spikes sharp? They are pointed 3 mm cones with a polished finish: the point is all about the look. As with any jewellery, take care when pulling tops over your head or drying your face.
  • Why not on a fresh piercing? With external threading, the thread passes through the channel on insertion. A healed piercing handles that easily; a fresh one is better left with the bar your piercer fitted.
  • Do the spikes come loose? Like any screw-on end, they can work loose over time. Check both cones now and then and tighten them finger-tight.
Material and care

  • Ends: two 3 mm pointed spikes (cones), externally threaded, that unscrew
  • Finish: polished silver tone, no stones
  • Gauge: 16G (1.2 mm)

Care: rinse with sterile saline, pat dry rather than rubbing around the spikes, and check they're screwed tight. See our aftercare guide.

Edgy points, on a metal your skin agrees with.

Spikes give your brow a bolder, more graphic outline than round balls ever will. This curved bar is implant-grade ASTM F136 titanium (G23): nickel-free, light and kind to sensitive skin, with a polished silver tone that keeps the look clean. Three lengths let you choose between a tight, sculpted fit and a bit more room.

Putting in your barbell

One end stays on the bar, the other comes off: that's the one you remove and refit.

1

Remove one end

Unscrew the ball or top (or pull it straight off if it's a push-pin end).

2

Bar through

Slide the bar through the piercing, following its angle, without forcing.

3

Refit the end

Screw or press the end back on until it is snug. Check it now and then, as ends can loosen.

Do it over a towel or a closed sink so the end can't get lost. On a fresh piercing, have your piercer fit it.

Spikes or balls: which should I choose?
It's purely a style choice. Balls give a soft, discreet line; spikes sharpen the silhouette and draw the eye. If you want the classic look, choose our plain ball eyebrow barbell.
Will the spikes catch on clothes or towels?
The cones are small, 3 mm, but they do stand out more than balls. Pat your face dry instead of rubbing, and pull tight tops over your head with a little care.
Can I wear it in a rook or a snug?
Yes, once the piercing has healed: the curved bar suits both. 8 mm or 10 mm usually works for a rook; match the length to your anatomy.
How do I put an externally threaded bar in?
Unscrew one spike, guide the plain end of the bar through the piercing gently, then screw the spike back on finger-tight. If it doesn't slide in easily, stop and ask your piercer.
