Description

The gold eyebrow barbell brings warmth to your brow: a slim curved barbell with a yellow-gold glow, the eyebrow piercing jewelry to reach for once your piercing has healed and you want it to shine a little more. Two polished balls catch the light at each end, and the gentle curve hugs the brow line. Many people still call it an eyebrow ring; the curve is simply the shape that sits best there.

Under the colour, it's the same ASTM F136 titanium (G23) as our silver-tone version, finished with a gold PVD coating: nickel-free, light, and never gold-plated brass. You get the warm tone of gold on a base made for piercings. Prefer the plain metal, or still healing? See the titanium eyebrow barbell.

It's made for a healed piercing. The 16G (1.2 mm) bar is internally threaded and both 3 mm balls unscrew, so swapping a dull starter bar for a touch of gold takes seconds: unscrew a ball, slide the bar in, tighten finger-tight. Once healed, the same curve also suits a rook — and if that's your plan, we make a dedicated titanium rook barbell too.

Choosing your length

6 mm hugs a shallow healed piercing for a close, minimal line. 8 mm is the most common healed fit and lets the gold balls frame the brow neatly. 10 mm suits a deeper placement. The simplest way to choose: measure the bar you wear now, between the balls. Our gauge and size guide walks you through it. Want a different look? Gold eyebrow barbell: your questions

  • Can I wear it straight after piercing? Better not: your first jewellery is fitted by your piercer, and a gold-finish bar is best kept for a healed piercing. Start in plain titanium, then switch to gold.
  • Will the gold colour last? PVD is bonded to the titanium rather than painted on. To keep its glow, clean it with saline and avoid abrasive products or metal polishes.
  • Does it come with stones? No — it's a plain, polished bar with two round balls, for a clean line of gold across the brow.
Material and care

  • Material: implant-grade ASTM F136 titanium (G23)
  • Finish: gold PVD, warm yellow-gold tone
  • Nickel-free — not gold-plated brass
  • Style: curved barbell (banana bar), internally threaded
  • Ends: two 3 mm polished round balls that unscrew, no stones
  • Gauge: 16G (1.2 mm)
  • Length: 6, 8 or 10 mm
  • For healed piercings: eyebrow, rook or other curved placements

Care: rinse with sterile saline, pat dry and skip harsh cleaners that could dull the finish. See our aftercare guide.

A touch of gold where everyone looks first.

Once your eyebrow piercing has healed, it's the first jewellery people notice. This curved barbell keeps the base piercers trust — ASTM F136 titanium (G23), nickel-free — and adds a warm gold PVD finish, never gold-plated brass. Two polished balls, three lengths and internal threading make the switch from your starter bar quick and neat.

Putting in your barbell

One end stays on the bar, the other comes off: that's the one you remove and refit.

1

Remove one end

Unscrew the ball or top (or pull it straight off if it's a push-pin end).

2

Bar through

Slide the bar through the piercing, following its angle, without forcing.

3

Refit the end

Screw or press the end back on until it is snug. Check it now and then, as ends can loosen.

Do it over a towel or a closed sink so the end can't get lost. On a fresh piercing, have your piercer fit it.

Is it real gold?
It's a gold PVD finish on ASTM F136 titanium (G23). You get the warm colour of gold on a nickel-free base designed for piercings, rather than gold-plated brass.
Is the gold version safe for sensitive skin?
The bar is nickel-free titanium under its PVD finish. For the best comfort, wear it in a fully healed piercing.
Which length suits a healed eyebrow?
8 mm is the most common healed fit. Choose 6 mm for a snug look on a shallow piercing, or 10 mm for a deeper placement.
Can I mix it with silver-tone jewellery?
Of course. A gold brow bar pairs well with silver-tone titanium elsewhere on the face or ears — mixed metals are a deliberate, modern look.
