Description

Our butterfly eyebrow ring places a tiny butterfly of marquise-cut clear CZ right above your brow, with a plain 3 mm polished ball tucked discreetly below. It's delicate, feminine eyebrow piercing jewelry: a slim curved bar that follows the brow line, and a little flutter of sparkle where most people expect a simple ball. If you love the shape of our titanium eyebrow barbell but want something softer and prettier, this is it.

The bar is ASTM F136 implant-grade titanium (G23): nickel-free, light and corrosion-resistant, in a polished silver tone that lets the clear stones shine without competing with them. It's the metal piercers trust for sensitive skin, so a pretty design never comes at the cost of comfort. Prefer a warmer setting for the butterfly? See the gold butterfly eyebrow ring.

The slim 16G (1.2 mm) curved bar is made for a healed piercing: your very first jewellery is fitted by your piercer, and this one is for the moment you want to make the brow your own. The ball comes off to slide the bar in, and the butterfly stays on top. Beyond the brow, this curved barbell butterfly design also suits a rook, a vertical labret or a snug once healed. Discover every style in our eyebrow piercing collection.

6 mm or 8 mm?

Length is measured along the bar, between the butterfly and the ball. 6 mm keeps the butterfly close to the skin on a shallow healed piercing, for a neat, dainty look. 8 mm is the more common healed fit and leaves a little room if your piercing is deeper. If the ball presses into the skin, choose 8 mm. Our gauge and size guide shows how to measure the bar you wear now.

Butterfly eyebrow ring: quick answers

  • Which way up does it go? The butterfly sits on the upper end, above the brow, and the plain ball sits below it. That way the sparkle shows and the lower end stays discreet.
  • What are the stones? Marquise-cut clear cubic zirconia (CZ): small, pointed crystal shapes arranged as butterfly wings, for a bright, clean sparkle.
  • Is it comfortable for everyday wear? The butterfly is tiny and the bar is slim, so it sits close to the brow. Just take care with brushes, towels and tight tops while you get used to it.

A little flutter of sparkle above your brow.

The butterfly turns a simple brow bar into something delicate and feminine, while the plain ball keeps the underside discreet. The bar is implant-grade ASTM F136 titanium (G23): nickel-free, light and gentle on sensitive skin, with a silver tone that makes the clear CZ stand out. Two lengths keep the fit neat on a healed piercing.

Putting in your barbell

One end stays on the bar, the other comes off: that's the one you remove and refit.

1

Remove one end

Unscrew the ball or top (or pull it straight off if it's a push-pin end).

2

Bar through

Slide the bar through the piercing, following its angle, without forcing.

3

Refit the end

Screw or press the end back on until it is snug. Check it now and then, as ends can loosen.

Do it over a towel or a closed sink so the end can't get lost. On a fresh piercing, have your piercer fit it.

Can I wear it in a vertical labret?
Yes, once healed. The curved bar follows the lip, with the butterfly on top and the ball below. Check the length against the bar you wear now.
Is it suitable for a rook or a snug?
Yes, in a healed piercing: the slim curved bar suits both. Match the length to your anatomy, as rooks and snugs vary a lot.
Will the stones fall out?
The CZ stones are set into the butterfly. Avoid snagging it on hair or fabric, clean it gently, and check it from time to time like any jewellery with stones.
Does the butterfly suit a subtle look?
Yes: it's tiny, and the silver-tone titanium keeps it soft. It reads as a delicate detail rather than a statement piece.
