Description

This nipple barbell in titanium is a straight bar finished with a small crystal flower at each end. Made for a healed nipple piercing, it adds a gentle sparkle on both sides while keeping the clean, simple line of a straight bar.

It is made from ASTM F136 titanium (grade 23), the implant-grade alloy chosen for sensitive skin: nickel-free, corrosion-resistant and polished to a clean silver tone. Each flower is built around a round centre stone, circled by petal stones in clear cubic zirconia. Seen on both ends of the bar, the two flowers frame the piercing symmetrically — a soft, floral take on everyday nipple piercing jewelry that stays discreet under clothing.

A threadless push-pin closure

The bar is threadless: each flower sits on a fine pin that pushes into the hollow bar and is held there by tension. Choosing your length

The bar is 14G (1.6 mm) thick and comes in two lengths: 12 mm for a closer fit, or 14 mm for a little more room. Flower nipple barbell: quick answers

  • Can I wear it on a new piercing? No — it is designed for a healed piercing. Your piercer chooses and fits the first jewellery until healing is complete.
  • Is it a flower nipple ring? Not quite: it is a straight barbell with a flower on each end, rather than a hoop. The flowers sit on either side of the piercing.
  • How do I change the flower ends? Hold the bar, pull the flower straight out, then push it back in until it sits flush. No twisting is needed with a push-pin closure.

Putting in your barbell

One end stays on the bar, the other comes off: that's the one you remove and refit.

Remove one end

Unscrew the ball or top (or pull it straight off if it's a push-pin end).

Bar through

Slide the bar through the piercing, following its angle, without forcing.

Refit the end

Screw or press the end back on until it is snug. Check it now and then, as ends can loosen.

Do it over a towel or a closed sink so the end can't get lost. On a fresh piercing, have your piercer fit it.

What does threadless mean?
The ends have no screw thread. A fine pin on each flower pushes into the bar and is held in place by tension.
Is titanium a good choice for sensitive skin?
Implant-grade ASTM F136 titanium is nickel-free and biocompatible, which is why it is the go-to metal for sensitive skin.
Should I choose 12 mm or 14 mm?
Match the length of the bar you wear now. If you would like a shorter bar than your current one, check with your piercer first.

  1. The right compromise

    I was looking for something a bit pretty for my nipple piercings but not something with dangles that catch on everything. The flowers are flat and fine, the titanium is light, and the threadless system is so much easier than screw-on balls. I've worn it for a month, including at the gym, with no problems at all. Only tip: choose the length carefully, I went for the 12 mm and it fits perfectly.
